Nothing gets you in the mood for the Holiday Season better than the present one. Pumpkins, hay, scarecrows and Halloween costumes are only a sign that Thanksgiving and Christmas are right around the corner! Last weekend we took a trip to the pumpkin patch, my little guy had big ambitions and went straight for the big pumpkins, after pushing them around a bit he realized he couldn’t carry them, so he grabbed hold of a tiny one and didn’t let go!
We knew we couldn’t choose a big pumpkin since we are under our realtors “no clutter rule”, so we kept it simple. Carving pumpkins can be messy, but now a day’s carving can be substituted for so many fun ideas! While soaking our pumpkins in Clorox water, I was looking at all these neat ideas, I was eager to start decorating. Unfortunately it dawned on me that I had to keep it clean and simple because we might not be able to take the pumpkin with us when we vacate the house. So, I didn’t spend more than 30 minutes on it. Next year I’ll be able to go crazy with decorations, right now all my Autumn décor is tucked away in a bin ready to move.
None the less I’ll share with you some of my favorite ideas so you can start crafting!
